Skiing at Mt. High

We took Faith on her first Ski trip. She did a great job! Check out the video. We were hoping to put her in the Children's Program for 2 lessons, but it was super crowded and things didn't go as planned.
It took us nearly 3 hours to get on the slopes from the parking lot. We had to park in one lot and take the bus to the other side of the mountain. We then stood in one line after another. We would have missed Faith's 1 PM lesson, but a nice lady that worked at the resort expediated us through. Due to a road closure on the way to Big Bear, Mountain High got a lot more guest then they expected. The lift lines were long too!

Mommy's Little Bruiser

Luke and Faith went in a race to retrieve my cell phone. I thought it was on the nightstand of my bed, but apparently it was on the high dresser. In an attempt to get the phone, it fell and hit Luke just under the eye. I am still in shock over how badly it hurt him. Instead of reacting quickly and calmly, I freaked out a bit. The hero of the day was Samantha. On this particular day, she was able to calm him down and comfort him better than I could. I was very proud of the way she responded to him.

Encountering God's Beauty - Rainbow Style

We were on our way home from Oxnard and we saw this beautiful full rainbow. We pulled off the side of the rode and got out of the car (all 6 of us). We admired the beauty that God gave us. It was a sign of hope and a reminder of God's promises. On this day, I fetl so blessed to have stopped and enjoyed this with my entire family. Thanks Jesus for giving us a reason to slow down and be in this moment.

Girl Scouts - Sing at the Resthome

Faith & Lorelei, along with their Girl Scout Troop, went Christmas carolling at Twin Pines. This brought back a lot of memories, as this is the same place that my troop would carroll too. It gave me a lot of joy to see how much the residents enjoyed the girls and their singing.

Visiting Papa & Nana

Papa and Nana have had a great influence over my life. They have always been there for me and have shared God's love with everyone that they have encountered. They are wise beyond the most educated and abide by high moral standards. They are rich yet they have little wealth. They have hope in the Lord but fear for the direction our world is taking. They love all people, but clearly know right from wrong. When I grow up, I want to be like them. I love them and blessed to be their #1 granddaughter.

Aunt Lorene's 79th Birthday!
