Rain, Rain, Go Away! Or mom, please let me go outside and play! An entire week of rain is enough to drive anyone crazy. Sam decided that it would be a good idea to take the little ones out puddle jumping. At first I wasn't too pleased, but I was so glad that we did. They splashed in their boots and had a lot of laughs. Faith is such a great big sister; she loved helping Luke go fast on the rollercoaster! We all felt better after getting out for awhile.
For sunny southern California, a week of rain is a major ordeal. My friends in Ohio would laugh if they could see us and our "storm watch" news. The roads are a stand still and people avoid the outdoors. Then again, rain is can be a serious matter here. We need and want it, but it seems to come all at once. This could be dangerous especially in the fire areas that lost so much vegetation. Mudslides and flooding are always possible. Fortunately, we are not in a burn area, mountain side or in a flood plan. Several years back about 30 miles north of here a mountain came sliding down into a small town (La Conchita) and 10 people tragically died including a 2,6 and 10 year old (and their mom). Wow, I wasn't even planning to talk about mudslides. I am so random!
