Lunching with my friend Kristy has become one of my favorite traditions. It started back when Samantha and Macy (Kristy's daughter) were four years old and in preschool together. We use to go out to lunch once a week (Tues or Thurs.) after preschool. It use to be a larger group of moms (one dad) and kids. At that time we would eat at Del Taco, as it was cheaper. The kids would hang-out and the moms would talk about mom stuff. By the way, I met Kristy before the girls were born. At the time we livee in the same neighborhood. Her son, Quaid (a freshman in high school), was just a toddler then.

Over the past several years, Kristy and I continued our lunch tradition. We meet at Toppers every Monday during the school year. For a brief period of time, we actually had lunch without kids. Kristy was very encouraging and supportive of throughout our adoption process. She also is a great Christian friend. It is nice to have someone to talk to that is like-minded. Her Birthday is January 26th, which is January 27th in China. I believe that Faith was born on the same day that Kristy was (just a few years later).

Kristy is a great mom, wonderful wife, terrific friend and an extremely neat organized women. She even manages to keep her car clean! I keep asking for organizational pointers and housecleaning tips. I am a messy by nature, not nurture. I just realized I need prayers in this area, as it would take a miracle!

Did I mention how thoughtful she is?
